Waqas Haroun Ahmed Ismail is a multi-talented artist and sound engineer from Arniti Island in Wadi Halfa Locality in Northern State, Sudan. He is married with three children and currently resides in Qatar, where he works for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, one of the world's leading hotel groups.
Waqas has a distinguished academic background in electrical engineering and multimedia, a background that formed the foundation for his artistic and technical career, which has taken diverse paths, most notably in musical performance, audio and visual production, and sound engineering. He has been known since his early days for his passion for music, mastering the organ. His creativity has extended to include music production using advanced software, as well as professional video editing and graphic design.

Although singing is not his primary profession, Waqas practices it as an amateur with deep passion, through artistic recordings or via live broadcasts on his widely followed TikTok page. Through this platform, he performs a selection of Sudanese and Nubian songs, preserving his artistic identity and cultural affiliation.
Waqas has participated in several prominent international events and festivals, including "Drums for Peace Festival" – Cairo, "Samaa Festival for Spiritual Music" – Cairo (several editions), COP22 Climate Conference – Marrakech, and COP23 Climate Conference – Bonn, Germany.
He has also actively participated in local festivals within Sudan, including "Red Sea Festival – all its editions. Barkal Festival – all its editions, Anjanq Festival and other cultural events. At these events, he represented the Dongola Association for Nubian Culture and Heritage as a musician.
He has been featured on several television and radio programs on prominent Sudanese channels, such as Harmony, Sahour, Al-Shorouk, Blue Nile, Khartoum State TV, Omdurman TV, Sudanese National Television, Medical Radio, and Armed Forces Radio, due to his artistic presence and clear contribution to preserving Nubian cultural and musical identity.
As a music producer and sound engineer, Waqas has produced a large number of albums for Sudanese and Nubian artists, working as a musical executive and sound engineer, adding his technical and artistic touches to these works, affirming his position in the field of modern music production.
He also worked in Qatar for prestigious media companies, where he held the following positions: Analog Sound Engineer at Media Pro Company, Digital Sound Engineer and Video Editor at Media Plantage Company
Waqas Haroun represents a model of a multi-skilled artist who combines artistic sensibility with technical precision, devoting his efforts to preserving Nubian heritage and transmitting it to new generations using modern methods.
